cstravato's Pre-k World

The life of a Teacher / Student / Mother

Week 1

This is my first time blogging. I’m excited to join this community of sharing information.  I am in my 9th year teaching in Early Childhood Education.  I have my Bachelors Degree in ECE and Child & Youth Psychology.  I am currently continuing my education to complete my masters degree at Walden University.  My husband and I have two wonderful boys, who keep us on our toes.

I find there is so much teachers  can learn from each other whether it is your 1st year or your 30th year teaching.  I’m looking forward to sharing ideas, materials, research, and fun antidotes from my days in the classroom.  Please join me on this adventure and share your ideas as well.

I am a wife of 14 years and have two boys, one is 10 and an the other is 8. They are busy and keep us hopping. I have been a pre-school teacher for 9 years with a break in the middle to teach kindergarten in FL for three years, and I had the luxury of staying home with my two boys for a few years. I enjoy teaching pre-school age children it gives me great pride to help set a generation up to succeed in their school careers and life. I am currently going back to school to complete my masters degree in early childhood education at Walden University.

  3. This is my first time blogging too. I am still unsure what the word blogging means. I am so old school. I totally agree that we learn everyday no matter how many years you have under your belt. I hope that one day someone will say they learned something valuable from me and will share and pass on the passion.
